U.S. Law Enforcement Seeks to Halt Apple-Google Encryption of Mobile Data – Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sorry, but the DoJ is paying the price for their abuse of due process. \u00a0Apple and Google are simply responding to the will of the people to do what’s right; better than the executive branch in this case. \u00a0I’d be very surprised if they could get the legislation they want introduced, much less passed in this political climate. \u00a0This is what happens when you betray the public trust.<\/p>\n

Oh, one more thought… there is not a balancing act, here. \u00a0The Constitution is pretty clear about due process and the need for a warrant. \u00a0You want to search someone’s phone? \u00a0Fine, show cause and get a warrant. \u00a0If the suspect refuses to comply, then you have the ability to jail them. \u00a0It may not be convenient, but liberty is not a convenient philosophy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
