I’ve talked to many who have said, “This couldn’t happen here.” \u00a0Well, guess what?\"political-correctness-voltaire\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It’s not enough, though, to simply let these
\nProgressives back off their demand. \u00a0There\u00a0has<\/strong><\/em> to be consequences to punish this harassment. \u00a0If there are not, then two thinks happen.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. They keep trying until they find a venue that lets them get away with it. \u00a0Then they have a precedent.<\/li>\n
  2. The threat – even if they have to back off – continues to be an unjust harassment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    At the very least, there needs to be some sort of public “This was wrong” statement from the city’s government or council. \u00a0Not an apology \u00a0– that’s largely meaningless, but some admission that this was wrong. \u00a0I’d go for a recall, as well. \u00a0This wouldn’t be just because “we don’t like her,” but put in terms as a response for cause and wrongdoing.<\/p>\n

    This\u00a0is<\/em> a culture war. \u00a0It needs to be fought\u00a0as<\/em> a war.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
