\"puzzled\"<\/a>The extent to which Democrats do not get it – at least the ones in this article – is simply amazing. \u00a0Why do they keep asking about their “message?” \u00a0We have heard<\/i>\u00a0your message. \u00a0More important, we have now seen the results<\/i>\u00a0of the policies that embody your message.<\/p>\n

We reject your message!<\/i><\/p>\n

If you want to remain relevant, you need to abandon the European-style Progressivism. \u00a0It is an ideology that is simply not compatible with America’s individualistic culture. \u00a0Stay to the Left if you want, but stay to the left of \"DSCF0017\"<\/a>America’s<\/b>\u00a0center, not the EU’s. \u00a0There was a time, not long ago, within my memory where both sides of the aisle were on the same side as to where<\/i>\u00a0we were going. \u00a0The difference was in how<\/i>\u00a0we got there. \u00a0That is an area in which there may be some room for compromise. \u00a0However, if “compromise” is defined as how fast we move Left, then forget it; we’re done with you.<\/p>\n

You want a good example of this? \u00a0Look at Bill Clinton. \u00a0His first two years, he tacked very Progressive, leaving his previous Centrist Democrat stance. \u00a0After getting hammered in 1994, he returned to that Centrist position. \u00a0Lanny Davis has been calling on Democrats to return to this, reminding you to “remember who we are.” \u00a0The question, though, is that still who you are?<\/em> \u00a0Between party changes, retirements and electoral defeats, have you not purged yourself of most of your centrists?<\/p>\n

This will be Hillary’s challenge. \u00a0She’s not<\/strong> considered a Centrist at all by most of the country. \u00a0The general opinion is that she’s the one responsible for the Left shift in Bill’s first two years. \u00a0Democrats certainly heaped a lot of blame on her at that time. \u00a0She’s going to have to do a good job selling that she’s not going to be more of the same from the Obama years. \u00a0Does anyone really<\/i>\u00a0see her being able to sell the idea of working with Rand Paul or Ted Cruz to find a true compromise? \u00a0That’s what she’s going to have to do if she wants to win.<\/p>\n

Anyway, those are \u00a0my thoughts. \u00a0Feel free to ignore or even mock them. \u00a0Frankly, I’d be happier if you did. \u00a0I’d much rather be cheering a President Paul or Lee in a couple years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
