States May Change The Electoral College System Before 2016 : Roll Call Opinion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, the electoral college is on of the more brilliant inventions of the Founders. \u00a0They\u00a0<em>went out of their way<\/em> to design the system to avoid a collective popular vote.<\/p>\n<p>This NPV scheme will effectively disenfranchise voters outside of a handful of populous states.<\/p>\n<p>With the success Republicans have had in State Houses and Governors&#8217; Mansions, some efforts should be started in select states to get a repeal of this act. \u00a0It&#8217;s something that has been kept so low-key and under the radar, I suspect many state legislators are not even aware of it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December Surprise?
