Here’s the deal, though. With Obama you have to follow the Progressive agenda. So what’s the benefit for the agenda? That is what drives him. In this case, it’s probably the only chance there is of holding onto the Senate. If he loses the Senate, not only does Obama get shut down, but there is a real chance of his policies being pushed back. This is also his best chance of keeping a Rand Paul or Ted Cruz from winning the White House in 2016. Even if it doesn’t go to a Democrat, it takes away an issue that could be used against left leaning Republicans.
